Rent the Runway (RTR) is seeking a Staff Accountant to join a fast-paced accounting team. You will support the month-end close, prepare journal entries and accruals, and perform balance sheet reconciliations in a high-energy environment.

The role emphasizes collaboration with business partners, audit support, and involvement in budgeting processes. This position offers hybrid work and strong employee benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting required.
• 2+ years of relevant accounting experience.
• CPA license required.
• Strong Excel skills and the ability to analyze large data sets.
• Experience with a major ERP system preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries and accruals for expense and balance sheet accounts.
• Perform reconciliations of balance sheet accounts.
• Investigate reporting discrepancies and communicate issues promptly.
• Review invoices, expense reports, and capital expenditures for proper coding.
• Liaise with business partners for accruals accounting.
• Assist in year-end financial statement audits and statutory audits.
• Support planning and budgeting with ad-hoc reports and schedules.
• Contribute to special projects as assigned.
