Job summary

Bon Appétit Management Company in Mountain View, CA is hiring a Staff Accountant to handle day‑to‑day accounting, ensure accurate bookkeeping and timely reporting. This onsite role may require travel to other sites within the account.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years in accounting, strong Excel (pivot, lookups), and knowledge of AP/AR and reconciliations. A degree in accounting is preferred; QuickBooks or Compass experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• 1–3+ years in bookkeeping or staff accountant roles.
• Strong Excel (pivot tables, formulas, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP) and data reconciliation.
• Solid understanding of AP/AR, journal entries, and reconciliations.
• Experience with QuickBooks or Compass systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform day‑to‑day bookkeeping for the site (AP/AR/GL).
• Prepare, reconcile, and review daily, weekly, and period‑end financial reports.
• Support month‑end close with journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
• Maintain Excel‑based tracking tools, budgets, and financial models.
• Assist with vendor invoicing and PO reconciliation.
• Travel to other sites within the account as needed.
• Collaborate with GM and district finance on policy compliance.
• Assist audits and prepare supporting schedules.
• Identify opportunities to improve financial processes.
• Perform other accounting and admin duties.
