U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, Division of Examinations, is seeking an early career Staff Accountant (Junior Accountant) to join the Office of Broker-Dealers (BDX), the Office of FINRA and Securities Industry Oversight (FSIO), and offices of Investment Advisers and Investment Companies (IA/IC), Office of Clearance Settlement (OCS) and Private Funds Unit (PFU).

The role supports admission requirements, filing materials, and evaluation processes for a range of supervisory programs.

Qualifications

• Degree in accounting or related field with 24 accounting hours (may include up to 6 hours of business law).
• Combination of education and experience: 4 years accounting or related field, with 24 hours in accounting/auditing or professional certification.
• One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS/SK-07 level or higher.
• Ability to apply GAAP or IFRS and perform public accounting tasks.
