Staff Accountant - Entry Level | No Remote

The Grand Hyatt Deer Valley Hotel is located in the renowned Deer Valley ski resort, approximately 40 minutes from Salt Lake City International Airport. It is part of a new development featuring 17 ski lifts, around 1,600 residential units, 8 hotels with approximately 1,350 rooms, about 250,000 square feet of conference and retail space, and one of the world's largest "ski beaches".

The hotel offers 436 luxury accommodations, including 381 guest rooms and 55 residential units, along with approximately 30,000 square feet of versatile indoor meeting space. Amenities include a lobby-level 3-meal restaurant and bar, signature bar, pool and après-ski bar and grill, coffee bistro, large outdoor event terrace, pool, three whirlpools, kids club, and fitness area.

Job Responsibilities

The Staff Accountant will handle accounting administrative duties, support the Finance team, ensure the smooth operation of the Accounting Department, and oversee specific aspects of the general ledger.

Qualifications

• Degree in Hospitality or Accounting
• At least 2 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a hotel setting
• Experience with MICROS, ADP/Enterprise, Kronos, Hyatt systems (Opera and PMS) preferred
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Strong organizational, administrative, and problem-solving skills
