The Planet Group is seeking a Staff Accountant in Raleigh, NC to provide accounting support across regional operations and participate in the month-end close process.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, at least 1 year of accounting experience, and strong GAAP knowledge with excellent communication and organizational skills. Collaboration with plant personnel and timely reporting are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field; CPA preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of accounting experience.
• Understanding of GAAP.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Detail-oriented with good organizational skills.
• Experience with Excel; JD Edwards desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide accounting support for regional operations.
• Lead month-end close activities.
• Prepare monthly accruals across plants.
• Collaborate with plant personnel for accurate recordings.
• Assist with timely management reporting.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts.
• Perform analysis and identify process improvements.
• Support internal and external audits.
• Develop strong knowledge of the business.
