Brown & Brown in Daytona Beach, FL seeks a Staff Accountant to support full cycle accounting, month-end close, reconciliations, and timely financial reporting.

Qualified candidates hold a Bachelor's degree in accounting and 1–3 years of general ledger experience, with strong MS Office skills (Teams, Word, Excel). Insurance industry experience is preferred but not required; training and growth opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
• Proficient knowledge in Microsoft Office environment, including Teams, Word, and Excel.
• 1-3 years full cycle general ledger accounting experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist with full cycle month end close functions in Agency and ERP systems.
• Reconcile bank accounts and all cash transactions, balance sheets, and other accounts monthly and as needed.
• Run monthly close reporting.
• Review and approve accuracy of supplier invoices.
• Assist with the calculation of ASC 606 monthly and quarterly entries.
