Crest Operations in Lafayette, LA seeks a Staff Accountant to join our Corporate Accounting & Finance team. The role independently owns month-end close activities, applies GAAP, and produces complete, supported financial information while upholding internal controls.

Ideal candidates have a bachelor’s in accounting, at least two years of experience, and strong Excel with ERP system familiarity. You’ll work autonomously, analyze variances, and contribute to audits and ongoing process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required.
• Minimum two years of accounting experience including month-end close.
• Working knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and audit support.
• Strong Excel and ERP system experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Own assigned month-end close activities; complete each accurately and on schedule.
• Prepare timely, audit-ready financial statements and schedules.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate discrepancies.
• Perform monthly aircraft audit; document findings and exceptions.
• Support accounts payable while maintaining internal controls.
• Prepare schedules for annual audit requests.
• Analyze variances and provide concise explanations.
• Record journal entries and system imports with GAAP compliance.
• Serve as liaison between corporate and division accounting teams.
• Master system and process details; implement approved improvements.
• Maintain policies and procedures for repeatable work.
• Own ad hoc analysis and special projects.
