Job summary

Akumin in Florida is seeking a Staff Accountant to support monthly and quarterly financial reporting and the close process. You will prepare financial statements, footnotes, journal entries and reconciliations to ensure accuracy and timeliness.

Responsibilities include assisting with quarterly and annual reports, MD&A, investor reporting, and audits, plus daily cash management. A Bachelor's degree is required and 2–3 years of experience; CPA license is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 2–3 years of related experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables and V-Lookups.
• CPA license preferred.

Staff Accountant – Accounting and Financial Reporting

, supports the monthly and quarterly financial reporting and accounting month end close process through preparation of financial statements, footnotes, journal entries, account reconciliations, and other accounting reports. This position contributes substantially to the accuracy, timeliness and integrity of the financial statements and reports.

Assist in preparing quarterly and annual financial statements, footnotes, management discussion and analysis and investor reporting.

Prepare monthly financial reporting packet for internal reporting.

Prepares journal entries to record financial transactions to the general ledger for debt, equity, goodwill, and intangible assets.

Review assigned general ledger accounts for propriety and reasonableness, investigate questionable transactions, form reasonable conclusions, make recommendations to Accounting Management and prepare correcting journal entries as appropriate. Prepares monthly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts. Identifies, researches, and corrects account discrepancies.

Assist with daily cash management and treasury reporting

Assists in the annual financial audits.

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
