Zusammenfassung

IB Abel is seeking a Staff Accountant to join our finance team and help maintain the accuracy and integrity of financial records. You will support monthly and annual close processes, manage receivables, and assist with reconciliations, asset audits, and balance sheet clean-up projects while working cross-functionally to drive business success.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's in Finance or Accounting, have MS Office proficiency, and familiarity with Viewpoint Vista.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting or equivalent experience in a related field.
• Must be able to present acceptable documents evidencing identity and employment authorizations per the Federal I-9 requirement.
• Proficient in MS Office applications with strong skills in computerized accounting software (Viewpoint Vista preferred).

• Obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure.
• Support an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year end close.
• Closing month and end year accounts receivable, general ledger, expenditure variance analysis, capital assets reconciliations, debt reconciliations, and other miscellaneous reconciliations.
• Follow proper accounting methods, policies, and principles.
• Recommend Improvements to systems and procedures.
• Daily bank reporting activities.
• Weekly accounts receivable management including follow up with project accountants.
• New customer setup and maintenance.
• Assist Project Accountants as needed.
• Project work associated with balance sheet clean up, including fixed assets audits, inventory count execution, etc.

The Opportunity

Join our growing finance team as a Staff Accountant and play a key role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our financial records. In this position, you will support monthly and annual close processes, manage receivables, perform account reconciliations, oversee customer account setup, and assist with special projects such as fixed asset audits and balance sheet clean-up initiatives. Key Responsibilities

• Obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure
• Support an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year end close
• Closing month and end year accounts receivable, general ledger, expenditure variance analysis, capital assets reconciliations, debt reconciliations, and other miscellaneous reconciliations
• Follow proper accounting methods, policies, and principles.
• Recommend Improvements to systems and procedures
• Daily bank reporting activities
• Weekly accounts receivable management including follow up with project accountants
  • Send out monthly statements to customers
  • New customer setup and maintenance
• Miscellaneous non-job billings
• Update departmental scorecard
• Title requests and loan pay off calculations for bank
• Assist Project Accountants as needed
• Project work associated with balance sheet clean up, including fixed assets audits, inventory count execution, etc.

Who We’re Looking For

Required:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting or equivalent experience in a related field
• Valid Driver’s License

Other:

• Must be able to present acceptable documents evidencing identity and employment authorizations per the Federal I-9 requirement.
• Proficient in MS Office applications with strong skills in computerized accounting software (Viewpoint Vista preferred)
