Job summary

Trinity Solar is seeking a Staff Accountant to join our Finance team in the United States. You will handle general ledger accounting, reconciliations, financial reporting, audits, budgeting, and process improvements to support a fast-moving solar business.

The role offers exposure to multiple areas of accounting, with a focus on accuracy, data analysis, and cross-functional partnerships. A bachelor’s degree and 2–5 years of related experience are preferred, with CPA exposure a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
• 2–5 years of accounting, financial operations, or related experience preferred.
• Public accounting experience and/or CPA or CPA-track experience is a plus.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, general ledger accounting, and reconciliations.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills and comfort working with financial data.
• Experience with accounting software or ERP systems is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across departments.
• A proactive mindset—you’re comfortable asking questions, digging into the details, and looking for better ways to get things done.

Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, financial records, and supporting documentation.
• Analyze general ledger activity and support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts, bank accounts, and other financial records to ensure accuracy.
• Assist with financial reports, schedules, and analysis for leadership.
• Research discrepancies, identify root causes, and recommend solutions.
• Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation and responding to requests.
• Help ensure accounting activities comply with company policies, GAAP, and applicable requirements.
• Partner with teams across the organization to resolve accounting questions and support financial operations.
• Identify opportunities to simplify, automate, and improve accounting processes.
• Gain exposure to budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Handle confidential financial information with professionalism and sound judgment.
• Support additional accounting and finance initiatives as the business evolves.

Compensation

$95,000-$120,000/year plus 10% annual bonus potential
