Job summary

Solar Landscape is a leading commercial rooftop solar developer in the U.S. We are seeking a detail-oriented accountant to manage the general ledger, month-end close, and financial reporting. You will prepare journal entries, assist with reconciliations of investments and distributions, and support auditors.

A Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance with 2+ years of experience is required; CPA is preferred. Strong analytical, communication and multitasking skills are essential, with proficiency in MS

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited four-year college.
• At least 2 years of accounting experience; CPA and public accounting preferred.
• Experience in renewable energy or real estate accounting desired.
• Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to work with different levels and external parties.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in MS Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Maintain general ledger and prepare month-end journal entries.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain general ledger; prepare and enter month end and other required journal entries.
• Assist with reconciling investment, equity, debt and partners distributions.
• Review and reconcile monthly transactions and balances for accuracy.
• Assist with preparation of monthly and quarterly financial statements and budgets.
• Prepare work papers and various reports for external auditing.
• Preparation of monthly management reports, including "Budget vs. Actual" variance reports of portfolios under management and providing follow-up of significant variances.
• Assist with completion of the quarterly and annual reporting requirements and financial covenants to various parties.
• Administer obligations and responsibilities under the project agreements.
• Contribute to the Company special projects and support ad hoc requests as assigned and support.

Requirements

• A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited four-year college or university with at least 2 years of experience; CPA and public accounting experience is preferred.
• Prior experience with renewable energy industry or real estate accounting desired.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
