Job summary

Archer Lewis, a national accounting and advisory firm, is seeking a qualified professional to join our Arizona team in Tucson. You’ll analyze financial statements, prepare tax returns, and apply GAAP and firm standards to ensure accurate, timely client work.

With 3+ years of experience and a CPA preferred, you’ll collaborate with senior staff on complex engagements, manage competing priorities, and contribute to operational efficiencies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3+ years of accounting or tax experience (internships included).
• CPA or actively pursuing CPA preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., CCH, Lacerte, UltraTax) preferred.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and professional judgment.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Analyze financial statements and identify discrepancies, trends, and adjustments.
• Apply GAAP and firm standards to recommend appropriate accounting treatments.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records and supporting documentation.
• Prepare individual, partnership, and business tax returns.
• Identify tax issues and recommend solutions under senior guidance.
• Conduct tax research and apply findings to client engagements.
• Communicate directly with clients regarding financial and tax matters.
• Serve as a point of contact for assigned client workstreams.
• Collaborate with senior team members on complex engagements.
• Manage multiple assignments and prioritize deadlines effectively.
• Identify process improvements and contribute to operational efficiencies.

What You’ll Do

Compensation Range $75,000—$105,000 USD
