Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities of the Staff Accountant role include:

• Assist with month-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, and general ledger maintenance
• Prepare account reconciliations and investigate variances to ensure accurate financial reporting
• Support the preparation and analysis of financial statements and management reports
• Maintain supporting schedules and documentation for audit and internal control requirements
• Assist with cash reporting, bank reconciliations, and daily treasury-related activities
• Process and review accounting transactions related to payroll, expenses, and operational costs
• Partner with operational and corporate departments to support accounting initiatives and resolve discrepancies
• Analyze financial data and recommend process improvements to enhance reporting accuracy and efficiency
• Participate in special projects and ad hoc analyses as needed

Primary qualifications include:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
• 1-3+ years of accounting experience, including general ledger and month-end close responsibilities
• Public accounting experience and/or experience within a corporate accounting environment is highly desirable
• Strong understanding of financial statements and accounting fundamentals
• Advanced Excel skills with the ability to analyze and manipulate data effectively
• Experience working with ERP systems; Oracle experience is a plus
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to teamwork
