Job summary

AdventHealth in Tampa, FL is seeking an experienced accounting professional to reconcile subsidiary ledgers, support day-to-day financial operations, and assist with closing processes. This role requires attention to detail and strong analytical skills.

You will work with accounts payable, payroll, and general ledger activities, ensuring regulatory deadlines are met and financial statements are accurate. Healthcare experience is a plus for this position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting or equivalent required.
• 3+ years of progressively responsible accounting experience required.
• Healthcare accounting experience preferred.

Job Description

Reconciles detail subsidiary ledger records. Provides day-to-day operational support as needed. Processes all direct deposit requests. Assists Accounts Payable and Payroll in researching cash reconciliation items with the reconciliation team. Organizes and prepares journal entries, miscellaneous cash entries, and reclassification entries for review. Assists with closing ledgers, including preparing and posting accruals and reconciling balance sheet accounts. Researches questions from management teams relating to monthly responsibility reports and makes necessary reclassification entries. Ensures that monthly regulatory, corporate, and internal deadlines are achieved in collaboration with management. Prepares, proofs, assembles, and organizes financial statements. Assists Senior Accountants with capital inventories, mid-year and year-end audits, cost reports, and corporate checklists. Supports Senior Accountants with inter-facility and department allocations, billing, and reconciling. Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel. Excellent organizational skills. [Preferred]

• Ability to perform complex mathematical and accounting processes. [Required]

• Ability to maintain accurate and detailed records [Required]

• Using spreadsheets; analytical reasoning and problem solving skills. [Required]

• Good verbal and written communication skills. [Required]

• Also requires experience with General Ledger [Required]

• Work, generally is repetitive but new situations, requiring mature judgment arises. Good judgment is required. [Required]

• Additional knowledge in an accounting specialization such as Healthcare preferred. [Preferred]
