Job summary

Dometic in Sparta, TN seeks a Staff Accountant to support accounting functions in a fast-paced, global manufacturing environment. You will prepare journal entries, close processes, and assist with audits and reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting / Finance.
• 1+ years of related position experience within manufacturing environment preferred.
• Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures.
• 1+ years' experience with payroll administration and general ledger activities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot tables, Lookups, etc.);
• ERP and Accounting Systems experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Assist with month-end closing activities.
• Prepare journal entries and Balance Sheet reconciliations.
• Process Returned Goods Authorization and General Sales Credits.
• Submit required monthly internal and external reporting.
• Maintain financial performance tracking reports by profit center.
• Maintain and update fixed asset records.
• Support internal and external audits.
• Assist with Accounts Payable entries as necessary.
• Assist with commissions and group rebate reporting.
• Assist with annual pricing updates.
• Assist with special projects and additional duties as assigned.

We are a journey of continuous growth - now looking for our next star - a passionate Staff Accountant. This position reports to the Controller and will work in Sparta, TN.

As Staff Accountant in the Sparta team, you will be involved in a variety of finance-related tasks including but not limited to preparing and maintaining accounting records, journal entries, Balance Sheet reconciliations, and various internal and external reporting and analysis.

Your main responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records in accordance with established policies and procedures.

A suitable background would be a solid experience within manufacturing and accounting - as well as the following qualifications and experiences:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting / Finance.
• 1+ years of related position experience within manufacturing environment preferred.
• Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures.
• 1+ years' experience with payroll administration and general ledger activities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot tables, Lookups, etc.);
• ERP and Accounting Systems experience.
