Job summary

Trans Ova Genetics, headquartered in Sioux Center, IA, seeks a Staff Accountant to join the accounting team and support month-end reporting, fixed asset tracking, and capital expense requests. You will collaborate across departments and locations to deliver accurate financial insights for growth initiatives.

You will also assist with annual audit coordination and provide data-driven responses to department leaders, ensuring timely, compliant financial processes and year-end readiness.

Responsibilities

• Daily manage the Capital Expense request process and Fixed Asset software maintenance.
• Help track and manage the Fleet lease program.
• Prepare and post to the general ledger accruals and journal entries with reconciliations.
• Assist the Accounting Manager and CFO in monthly financial statement review and analyses.
• Coordinate responses related to the annual audit.
• Backup the AP team with AP invoice and weekly disbursement processing and review as needed.
• Process and file annual IRS 1099 and 1096 reports for AP.

Key Responsibilities

• Daily manage the company-wide Capital Expense request process and Fixed Asset software maintenance
• Help track and manage the company-wide Fleet lease program
• Prepare and post to the general ledger accruals and journal entries along with corresponding workpaper reconciliations as assigned
• Assist the Accounting Manager and CFO in the monthly financial statement review, as well as providing analysis on key areas as identified
• Coordinate responses related to the annual audit
• Backup the AP team with AP invoice and weekly disbursement processing and review as needed
• Process and file annual IRS 1099 and 1096 reports for AP
