This role involves preparing cash flow reports, loan schedules, reconciliations, and documentation for wires and ACHs, while ensuring accuracy and compliance. You will collaborate with payroll and other departments, assist with audits and tax filings, and help strengthen internal controls.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in accounting or 5+ years of accounting experience required.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; BI tools such as Cognos or PowerBI are beneficial.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • High integrity and confidentiality when handling financial information.

Responsibilities

  • Assist treasury operations, prepare loan and interest schedules, and cash flow reports.
  • Perform cash receipts, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
  • Support general ledger activities including fixed assets, prepaid expenses, and payroll entries.
  • Coordinate payroll postings and reconcile payroll accounts.
  • Prepare documentation and schedules for audits, tax filings, and inspections.
  • Identify process improvements and strengthen internal controls.
  • Participate in special projects with financial analysis.

Job description

Cash Management and Treasury
  • Assist in treasury operation, prepare loan and interest schedules, preparation of documentation for wires/ACHs, and cash flow reports.
  • Perform cash receipts, receivable, and bank account reconciliation.
  • Support other accounts receivable, treasury, credit, and operational accounting activities as needed.
General Accounting
  • Assist in fixed assets, prepaid expenses, lease, payroll entries, and other general-ledger functions.
  • Assist with property tax preparation, filing, and compliance.
  • Prepare documentation, reports, and schedules for business operation units, audits, tax filings, insurance reviews, and other financial reviews and examinations.
  • Coordinate with Payroll to post payroll entries and reconcile payroll bank account.
  • Vendor record set up and maintenance.
  • Accounting ERP record setup, maintenance and audit.
  • Unclaimed property review, filing and compliance.
Month End Close & Reconciliation
  • Able to apply problem solving skills to analyze and review general account details to accurately, timely, and inclusively complete account reconciliations, for assigned general ledger accounts.
  • Ensure journal entries are accurately prepared and properly supported with relevant documentation and reconciliation.
  • Record transactions accurately and consistently across branches, departments, and accounting periods.
  • Adhere to strict close deadlines.
Teamwork & Goal-Driven
  • Coordinate and collaborate with teammates and branch personnel in a friendly, charitable, and professional manner necessary to complete tasks and achieve goals.
  • Ensure the adherence to internal controls for handling cash, posting transactions, reconciliation, preparation of reports, and maintaining financial records.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes, improve reporting, and strengthen internal controls.
  • Participate in special projects and provide financial analysis to support management decisions.
