The Staff Accountant Role

As a Staff Accountant at Peregrine, you will be a key member of our financial operations, accurately maintaining all bookkeeping records. You’ll take ownership and refinement of bookkeeping processes, ensuring financial records are up to date, accurate and compliant. You’ll perform reconciliations, support Accounts Payable processes, assist with month-end and quarterly closing processes, and identify opportunities to improve processes using technology and automation. Additionally, you’ll provide ad hoc financial support for analyses, tax preparation and special projects to support finance operations in evolving business needs. You will thrive in this role if you are a meticulous and adaptable accountant who is reliable when delivering results in a fast-paced environment.

What We Look For

• 2+ years experience in general ledger accounting or similar
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
• Experience in staff accounting, with demonstrated expertise in managing bookkeeping records, performing reconciliations, and ensuring accurate systems
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills
• Experience managing accounts payable (AP) processes to optimize cash flow
• Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements
• Exposure to startups in high-growth environments is strongly preferred
• Located in San Francisco, California, and willing to come into the office on a hybrid basis
  
  

Salary Range: $80,000 - $100,000 Annually + Benefits + Equity (if applicable) + Bonus (if applicable)
