Job summary

Pete & Gerry’s Organics, LLC is seeking a staff accountant to support the monthly close, reconcile general ledger accounts, and assist with year-end audits and tax preparation. The role requires at least 2 years of accounting experience and a solid understanding of US GAAP.

This hybrid position is based in Salem, NH with on-site requirements at HQ as needed. Ideal candidates have strong Excel skills and experience with ERP systems like Dynamics 365 BC or SAP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Minimum 2+ years of accounting experience.
• Hands-on US GAAP accrual experience.
• Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Excel and Microsoft Office tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• ERP systems experience such as Dynamics 365 BC or SAP is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly journal entries and reconciliations of general ledger accounts in a timely manner.
• Assist with month end close, including compiling and analyzing financial information.
• Support year end audit and tax requests.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, including documentation and testing of controls.
• Identify and implement opportunities to streamline processes.
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional departments.
• Support business needs with ad hoc reporting and strategic analysis as requested.
• Other duties as assigned.

The Role At a Glance

Reporting to the Accounting Manager, this role will assist in the monthly close process, prepare general ledger account reconciliations, assist in compilation of supporting documents for yearly audit and tax preparation, and perform ad hoc duties as assigned.

• Support business needs in assisting with special projects, ad hoc reporting, and strategic analysis as requested

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• Minimum 2+ years of accounting experience
• Hands‑on US GAAP accrual experience
• Excellent organizational skills combined with strong attention to detail
• Comprehensive knowledge of Excel as well as other Microsoft Office tools
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, SAP, or similar ERP systems experience a plus
• MBA, CPA, or CMA preferred but not required.
• Experience in a manufacturing and/or CPG environment preferred

This is a hybrid position; with an expectation of being on‑site in our Salem, NH office (HQ) as required.
