Job summary

Pete & Gerry’s Organics is seeking an Accounting professional to support monthly close, GL reconciliations, and audit/tax preparation. This hybrid role reports to the Accounting Manager and is based in Salem, NH, with occasional on-site work required at HQ.

Minimum 2+ years of accounting experience and a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting are required. Strong US GAAP, Excel, and ERP familiarity are essential, with MBA/CPA/CMA preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Minimum 2+ years of accounting experience.
• Hands-on US GAAP accrual experience.
• Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Office tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• ERP experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or SAP is a plus.
• MBA, CPA, or CMA preferred but not required.
• Experience in a manufacturing and/or CPG environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly journal entries and reconciliations of general ledger accounts in a timely manner.
• Assist with month end close, including compiling and analyzing financial information.
• Support year end audit and tax requests.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, including documentation and testing of controls.
• Identify and implement opportunities to streamline processes.
• Work collaboratively with cross-function departments.
• Support business needs in assisting with special projects, ad hoc reporting, and strategic analysis as requested.
• Other duties as assigned.

The Role at a Glance:

Reporting to the Accounting Manager, this role will assist in the monthly close process, prepare general ledger account reconciliations, assist in compilation of supporting documents for yearly audit and tax preparation, and perform ad hoc duties as assigned.

This is a hybrid position; with an expectation of being on-site in our Salem, NH office (HQ) as required.
