Job summary

National Partners in Healthcare is seeking an entry-level to early-career Accountant to join our finance team. This full-time role analyzes financial information, maintains general ledger, and prepares monthly statements in a work-from-home arrangement with occasional collaboration with the Richardson-based operations.

You will record accruals, support month-end close, and assist with year-end audits while developing knowledge of Netsuite and GAAP within a healthcare context.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required.
• 0-2 years of full cycle accounting experience required.
• Healthcare industry experience preferred.
• Experience with Netsuite preferred.
• Knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting principles.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient with MS Excel and MS Word.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision.

Responsibilities

• Record revenue, payroll and expense accrual journal entries.
• Prepare variance explanations for month-end results.
• Prepare financial presentations for Operations.
• Prepare income statement, balance sheet and cash flow statements.
• Ad-hoc financial reporting and analysis to support Operations.
• Prepare monthly bank reconciliations.
• Maintain balance sheet account reconciliations.
• Assist with year-end audit support schedules.
• Assist with documentation of new business acquisitions and new accounting procedures.

POSITION SUMMARY

Applies principles of accounting to analyze financial information, perform general ledger and financial reporting functions for NPH by performing the following duties.

Qualifications

Education/Licensing/Certification:

• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required

Experience:

• 0-2 years of full cycle accounting experience required

Knowledge and Skills:

• Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles.
• Knowledge of grammar, spelling and punctuation to type from draft copy, review and edit reports and correspondence.
• Strong computer skills including MS Excel and MS Word
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify trend and issues and ability to solutions to address issues
• Good mathematical skills a must.
• Skill in verbal and written communication.
• Skill in gathering and reporting information.
• Ability to work effectively with staff, physicians and external customers. Must display teamwork attitude and good inter-personal skills.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
