Job summary

AeroFlow Technologies is seeking a Staff Accountant to lead branch accounting, ensure GAAP-compliant financial statements, and maintain the general ledger. You will support close processes, reconcile accounts, and prepare schedules in a manufacturing environment.

You will collaborate with department leads to analyze budget vs. actual results, process vendor invoices in ERP systems, and help uphold SOX controls.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of GAAP and general ledger accounting.
• Experience with month-end close procedures.
• Experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel.
• Detail‑oriented and able to work under tight deadlines.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills across functions.
• 3+ years accounting experience in manufacturing.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; CPA or equivalent certification.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post daily, weekly, and monthly journal entries (accruals, prepaids, intercompany, etc.).
• Maintain the general ledger and ensure accurate transactions.
• Assist in month-end close activities, including reconciliations and variance analyses.
• Collaborate with department leads to verify budget vs. actual results.
• Process and code vendor invoices, expense reports, and purchase orders in the ERP system.
• Ensure timely payment runs and resolve invoice discrepancies.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and investigate reconciling items.
• Ensure adherence to SOX controls and company policies.
• Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and enhance reporting.
• Assist with system implementations or upgrades as needed.

The Staff Accountant takes a leading role in branch accounting work, ensuring the accuracy of financial statements in compliance with accounting standards, company policies and procedures, internal controls and local statutory and US GAAP requirements. Duties include maintaining the accuracy of the general ledger and related financial statements, coordinating relevant aspects of the financial close process, performing account reconciliations and analysis to verify accuracy and entering journal entries.

So, what will you be doing as a Staff Accountant

• Prepare and post daily, weekly, and monthly journal entries (accruals, prepaids, intercompany, etc.).

• Assist in month‑end close activities, including account reconciliations, variance analyses, and preparation of supporting schedules.

• Ensure timely payment runs and resolve invoice discrepancies.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations (cash, GL control accounts, fixed assets).
• Investigate and clear reconciling items.
• Ensure adherence to SOX controls and company policies.
• Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and enhance reporting accuracy.
• Participate in system implementations or upgrades as needed.

To Be Successful In This Role, You’ll Need

• Strong understanding of GAAP, general ledger accounting, and month‑end close procedures.
• Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills. Hyperion Financial Management and/or Epicor experience a plus.
• Detail‑oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks to meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; able to collaborate across functions.
• 3+ years accounting experience in manufacturing
• Strong knowledge of GAAP
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; CPA or equivalent international certification required.
• 3+ years of accounting experience
• Prior experience in aerospace or complex manufacturing environments a plus.
