Overview
PCNA is the industry’s biggest and most diverse offering of promotional products and decoration services. We are currently hiring a Staff Accountant – Hybrid! This position will have a hybrid schedule reporting to the New Kensington, PA office weekly.
Responsibilities
- Reconcile General Ledger accounts, maintain supporting schedules, and assist with month-end close processes.
- Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial reporting standards.
- Manage banking activities, including transaction tracking, vendor payments, and maintaining authorization procedures.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and the preparation of reports for audits and financial compliance.
- Input and validate financial information in Hyperion and recommend enhancements to accounting systems for improved efficiency.
- Support special projects and other accounting-related tasks as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree plus a minimum 1 year of accounting experience in general accounting, month-end closings, and general ledger account reconciliations; OR
- An Associate degree with 4 years’ of accounting experience in general accounting, month-end closings, and general ledger account reconciliations.
- Experience with Fixed Asset accounting and Great Plains Dynamics accounting software is a plus (not required).
- Proficient with Microsoft Office software, including working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics, Great Plains.
- Capable of working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities.
- Attention to detail and follow-up.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of Company information.
- Ability to work well independently or in a team environment.
- Ability to communicate professionally both written and verbally.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule.
