Job summary

Kforce’s client, a Long Island, NY based full-service CPA firm, is seeking a Staff/Tax Accountant. The role focuses on corporate and personal accounting services for small to mid-size clients, with high net worth individuals and real estate owners.

Flexible scheduling is offered and performance is rewarded. The position involves preparing individual and business tax returns (including Form 1065, 1120, 1120S), compiling financial statements, and supporting payroll and related information returns.

Qualifications

• 1-4 years of recent experience in a public accounting firm preparing tax returns.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and QuickBooks.
• Must be familiar with Forms 1040/1041/1065/1120/1120S.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Should be hard-working and ambitious, and able to work in Nassau County offices.
• Proficiency in ProSystem is a plus.

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
