Job summary

LHH has partnered with our client, a privately held manufacturing company in New Jersey, that is seeking a Staff Accountant focused on fixed assets and sales tax to assist the corporate accounting team.

You will maintain fixed asset records, support sales and use tax filings, and assist with month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting. This is a full-time role with competitive benefits and room to grow within the finance organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 2+ years of accounting experience.
• Experience with fixed Assets and Sales & Use Tax.
• Strong Microsoft Excel and overall computer proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Maintain fixed asset records, including additions, disposals, depreciation, and asset tracking.
• Support sales and use tax filings and related compliance activities.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
• Analyze financial data and research account variances.
• Prepare reconciliations and ensure accuracy of accounting records.
• Assist with financial reporting and ad hoc analysis.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to improve processes and support business objectives.
• Contribute to ongoing accounting and finance projects as needed.
