Job summary

Corient Services LLC in Miami seeks an experienced accounting professional to join our on-site team. You will prepare journal entries, reconcile balance sheets, assist with month-end close, and support payroll and audit processes while contributing to accurate financial reporting.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 2–4+ years of accounting experience.
  • Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, SUMIFS).
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and general ledger accounting.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
  • Able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and post journal entries in accordance with accounting policies to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Perform and maintain monthly balance sheet reconciliations, investigating and resolving variances as needed.
  • Assist with the month-end close processes while providing accounting assistance for ongoing projects and other ad hoc initiatives throughout the month.
  • Reconcile payroll-related accounts and investigate variances.
  • Support internal and external audit requests by gathering, organizing, and providing required supporting documentation.
  • Monitor and resolve accounting discrepancies in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and post journal entries in accordance with accounting policies to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

Required Qualifications

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, SUMIFS, data analysis).
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and general ledger accounting.
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Workday (WD) or other ERP/accounting systems.
  • Experience with payroll reconciliations and payroll accounting.
  • Experience with month-end close and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Knowledge of intercompany transactions and expense allocations.
  • Understanding of spend categories, cost centers, and financial reporting structures within a multi-entity organization.

Physical Requirements
  • This position requires the physical capabilities to work in an office environment, which may include prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

  • This position is required to work onsite 4 days per week.
