Responsibilities

What You’ll Do

The purpose of the Staff Accountant is to provide management of financial information by researching and analyzing accounts and assisting in preparing financial statements.

• Assist in preparation and maintenance of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations


• Prepare, review, and post journal entries to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting


• Support the monthly close process, providing insight and analysis on variances from budget and prior periods


• Perform regular reconciliations of bank statement to maintain accurate financial records


• Aid in budgeting process by providing necessary financial data and analysis


• Assist with requests for documentation and explanations of financial results


• Maintain strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting


• Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and enhance efficiency


• Use discretion and independent judgement in daily decisions while maintaining a high level of confidentiality and professionalism


• May be required to cross train and complete other duties as needed

Qualifications

Essential Qualities for Success

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field


• 1-2 years of accounting experience preferred


• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting


• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software


• Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel


• Excellent verbal and written interpersonal and communication skills


• Excellent negotiation and conflict resolution skills


• Demonstrated ability to adapt in a fast‑paced environment


• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills


• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

The pay range for this position is $55,000 - $65,000 annualized.
