Job summary

Hologic, Inc. in Marlborough, MA is seeking a Revenue Staff Accountant to focus on revenue recognition, analysis, and reporting. The role reports to Revenue Accounting Manager and requires a strong foundation in GAAP and ASC 606.

Responsibilities include preparing monthly revenue journal entries, reconciling accounts, reviewing contracts for revenue terms, and supporting audits. Onsite 4x/week at Marlborough office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• CPA or CPA candidate preferred.
• 1–3 years of accounting experience with revenue recognition.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and ASC 606.
• Proficiency in Excel; ERP/accounting software experience.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.
• Detail-oriented and able to work independently.
• Ability to collaborate with sales and legal teams.
• Experience with revenue recognition policies.

• Support the month-end and year-end close processes by providing timely and accurate financial information.
• Assist with the preparation of financial statements and reports, highlighting revenue streams and trends.
• Participate in the development and implementation of internal controls related to revenue.
• Support external and internal audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations related to revenue accounts.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of accounting regulations, industry trends, and best practices in revenue accounting.
• Work on special projects and analyses as requested by management.

Additional Info

The annualized base salary range for this role is $53,800 to $84,300 and is bonus eligible. Final compensation packages will ultimately depend on factors including relevant experience, skillset, knowledge, geography, education, business needs and market demand.
