Job summary

AngMar Management Services, which operates Angels Care Home Health & Hospice, is seeking a Staff Accountant to support the monthly close, enter journal entries, prepare accruals, perform bank reconciliations, and assist with other accounting duties. The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of accounting experience, a bachelor’s degree in accounting, advanced Excel skills, and experience with Sage Intacct (and Sage).

Healthcare industry experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3-5 years proven accounting experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting required.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel required.
• Experience with Sage Intacct preferred.
• Healthcare industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists in monthly close by preparing and posting journal entries.
• Performs monthly reconciliations of bank and general ledger accounts.
• Verifies, allocates, and reconciles accounts payable/receivable.
• Prepares schedules and workpapers for management review.
• Supports month-end, quarterly, and annual closing procedures.
• Meets reporting deadlines and participates in departmental projects.
• Other duties as assigned.

About the position:

The Staff Accountant will be responsible for data entry, creating journal entries, preparation of accruals, bank reconciliations, month-end closing processes, and other related duties.

Essential Job Functions:

• Assists in monthly financial close process by preparing and submitting journal entries.
• Performs monthly account reconciliations and review of general ledger accounts and funds for accuracy.
• Verify, allocate, and reconcile accounts payable and receivable.
• Prepares schedules and workpapers for review.
• Perform and support process for month-end, quarterly, and annual closing procedures.
• Meet all process and reporting deadlines.
• Participate in department projects as assigned.
• Other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, or higher, required.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel required.
• Healthcare industry experience preferred.
• Experience with Sage Intacct required.
