Job summary

Cabi Clothing seeks a hands-on Accountant to manage global fixed expenses, treasury, and audit support from our Los Angeles office. You’ll prepare timely reports, monitor budgets, and help strengthen internal controls while maintaining GAAP compliance in a fast-paced fashion business.

The role collaborates with FP&A and requires 1–3 years in corporate accounting, a BA/BS in Accounting or Finance, and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP). Prior ERP exposure is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 1–3 years of accounting experience in a corporate environment; GAAP fundamentals.
• Advanced Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, basic formulas); high accuracy and discretion.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day global accounting operations for fixed expenses (prepaid, accrued, payroll, assets, other income/expenses).
• Oversee treasury activities including cash management and debt.
• Monthly reconciliation of bank statements, credit cards, and balance sheet accounts.
• Prepare and review monthly fixed expense details for proper classification.
• Produce accurate financial reports and support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
• Assist with budget monitoring and cash forecasting with FP&A.
• Monitor accounting data, identify variances and reconciling items.
• Enforce accounting methods, policies, and internal controls; ensure adherence.
• Support annual audit preparation; coordinate documentation for auditors.
• Support special projects and ad hoc financial analyses as requested.
• Maintain accounting records and file organization; categorize GL transactions.
• Post journal entries and ensure correct accounting periods.
• Prepare documentation for audits; respond to auditor requests promptly.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for reconciliation of bank statements, credit card accounts, and balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis
• Prepare and review monthly fixed expense details for proper classification;
• Produce accurate and timely financial reports and statements; support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes
• Assist with budget monitoring and cash forecasting activities with FP&A
• Monitor and analyze accounting data; identify variances, reconciling items, and areas requiring management attention
• Enforce and improve accounting methods, policies, and internal controls; encourage team adherence to standards
• Support annual audit preparation; coordinate documentation and schedules for external auditors
• Support special projects and ad hoc financial analyses as requested
• Maintain and update accounting records and files; categorize transactions in the general ledger by assets, liabilities, revenues, and expenses
• Post journal entries and ensure transactions are recorded accurately and in the correct accounting period
• Prepare documentation and supporting schedules for annual audits; respond to auditor requests accurately and promptly

QUALIFICATIONS

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• Experience: 1-3 years of accounting experience in a corporate environment. Strong working knowledge of GAAP fundamentals. Experience with ERP accounting systems preferred.
• Technical Skills: Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, basic formulas). High degree of accuracy and attention to detail. Ability to handle confidential financial information with discretion.
