Job summary

MAT Holdings, Inc. is seeking an accounting professional to join our corporate accounting team in Long Grove, IL. The role focuses on month-end processes, journal entries, and financial reporting within a global manufacturing environment.

You will work with SAP, Excel, and cross-functional teams to ensure accurate GL closing, asset records, and budget preparation, with growth potential in a fast-paced company.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is required.
• SAP experience is a definite plus.
• Excellent Excel skills and analytical mindset.
• Ability to handle confidential information responsibly.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

Responsibilities

• Prepares journal entries for month-end accruals and reclassifications.
• Reconciles general ledger balances and compiles GL reports.
• Assists in the maintenance of Fixed Asset records.
• Assists in monthly financial reporting.
• Assists with the audit process.
• Assists with the budget process.
• Pursues special projects as assigned.

Reporting to Corporate Accounting Manager, this position is a tremendous opportunity to learn and use skills within the SAP enterprise system for a worldwide, growing private company that provides job diversity and an upward career path.

• Prepares journal entries for month-end accruals and reclassifications to ensure the financial statements' completeness and accuracy.
• Reconciles general ledger account balances and compiles various GL account analysis reports.
• Assists in the maintenance of Fixed Asset records.
• Assists in the preparation of monthly financial reporting.
• Assists with the audit process.
• Assists with the budget process
• Special projects as assigned

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from a four-year college or university
• 1-2 years of experience in an accounting or finance role
• Possess excellent skills and knowledge of Microsoft Windows with an emphasis on Excel.
• Analytical, self-motivated, able to work alone or within a team in a fast-paced environment. Requires the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
• SAP experience is a definite plus.

The posted salary range for this position is $55,000 to $65,000 annually. Final compensation will be determined based on the candidate’s skills, experience, and qualifications.
