This role will support the day‑to‑day accounting operations of a fast‑growing digital media company operating at the intersection of publishing, entertainment, and technology. The Staff Accountant will play a key role in managing accounts receivable processes, performing reconciliations, and supporting revenue reporting while working closely with the broader accounting team.

Key Responsibilities:

Accounts Receivable

• Process and monitor customer invoices and payments
• Manage aging reports and follow up on outstanding balances
• Resolve billing discrepancies in collaboration with sales and customer service teams
• Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies between bank statements and internal records
• Ensure timely posting of cash receipts and disbursements

Revenue Invoicing & Reporting

• Generate internal invoices to track sales activity for royalty calculations and reporting
• Assist with month‑end and year‑end close processes
• Prepare financial reports related to revenue and receivables
• Support audit and compliance processes with accurate documentation

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Strong foundational accounting experience, ideally with exposure to accounts receivable or revenue accounting
• Solid understanding of GAAP and revenue recognition principles
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data organization, reporting, and analysis
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams
• Someone who thrives in a fast‑paced, growing environment and can manage multiple priorities
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
• Experience with NetSuite is a plus
• Experience with digital content or royalty accounting is a plus
