A Confidential Opportunity in Kennesaw, GA is seeking a Staff Accountant to join its accounting team in office. You will work closely across maintenance, operations, sales, accounting, and government/regulatory functions, gaining exposure to how departments impact the accounting process.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
• 3–5+ years of accounting experience
• Strong understanding of GAAP
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
• Sage Intacct experience preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Receive, process, and enter AP vendor invoices
• Communicate with vendors to resolve discrepancies
• Process and enter employee expenses
• Reconcile and post credit card activity and payments
• Process and reconcile fuel invoices
• Assist with month-end account summaries and reconciliations
• Support accounts receivable invoicing, payments, and adjustments
• Assist with monthly tax filings
• Help ensure accounting activity is accurate and GAAP-compliant
• Collaborate with multiple departments to resolve accounting questions

A well-established and highly respected company in Kennesaw is looking to add a Staff Accountant to its accounting team.

This is a unique opportunity for an experienced accounting professional who enjoys problem-solving, variety, and working through situations that aren't always black and white. No two days are exactly alike, and this role requires someone who can use good accounting judgment while balancing GAAP with various operational and regulatory requirements.

You’ll work closely with multiple areas of the business, including maintenance, operations, sales, accounting, and government/regulatory functions, giving you exposure to how different departments impact the accounting process.

Responsibilities

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
• 3–5+ years of accounting experience
• Strong understanding of GAAP
• Construction or other complex, project-based accounting experience is a plus
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
• Strong attention to detail and organization
• Comfortable working independently and taking initiative
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Ability to use sound judgment when situations don't have an obvious answer
• Someone who enjoys variety and can adapt when priorities or circumstances change
• Sage Intacct experience is preferred, but not required
