This is a full-time Staff Accountant role, located on-site in Jacksonville, FL, working for a client of M2 Search Partners. The client operates in the manufacturing and distribution industry. What You’ll Actually Do

• Support Closing Activities: Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year‑end closing procedures to ensure timely completion.
• Prepare Reconciliations: Create and maintain general ledger account reconciliations along with their supporting schedules.
• Process Transactions: Record journal entries and assist with accruals and other routine accounting transactions.
• Manage Inventory: Support inventory accounting activities, including reconciliations, adjustments, and cost of goods sold analysis.
• Ensure Accuracy: Help maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation for internal and external audit requests.

The Must-Haves

• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with a basic understanding of accounting principles and financial statements.
• Experience: 1-2 years of experience within accounting is preferred; however, recent graduates and candidates with relevant internship or entry‑level accounting experience will be considered.
• Skills: Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, analytical abilities, proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general computer applications, ability to manage multiple tasks, and strong written and verbal communication skills.
