Job summary

Nmble Hiring Solutions seeks a Senior Accountant in Jacksonville, FL. You will own the general ledger from close to reconciliation, report variance analyses, and support inventory accounting in a hybrid in-office schedule.

You will collaborate with Accounting Manager and Controller, prepare month-end journals, and respond to audit requests. Requires 3+ years of progressive accounting, strong US GAAP, and advanced Excel. ERP experience preferred (SAP, Oracle, Dynamics).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is required.
• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience including month-end close.
• Solid US GAAP knowledge required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post month-end journal entries and meet close deadlines.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts monthly and clear aged items.
• Write variance analysis versus prior period, trend, and budget.
• Support inventory accounting: costing, reserves, and physical counts.
• Pull audit requests together with Accounting Manager and Controller.

Job description

A a growing healthcare products company in Jacksonville is hiring a Senior Accountant. You'll report to the Accounting Manager and own your piece of the general ledger from start to finish.

What you'll do

• Prepare and post month-end journal entries and hit your close calendar deadlines


• Reconcile balance sheet accounts monthly, with reconciling items explained and aged items cleared or escalated


• Write variance analysis versus prior period, trend, and budget, leading with the bottom line


• Support inventory accounting: costing, reserves, and physical count support


• Answer questions and build reports for department and business leaders


• Pull audit requests together with the Accounting Manager and Controller

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance


• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, including month-end close


• Solid US GAAP knowledge


• Advanced Excel: pivot tables, lookups, and conditional formulas daily


• Experience in a mid-size or large ERP (SAP, Oracle, Dynamics or similar)

Nice to have

• Inventory accounting at a manufacturing or distribution company
