Job summary

Riverside Casino & Golf Resort is seeking a Staff Accountant to prepare, analyze, and maintain financial records across the company and its subsidiaries. You will work with site accounting teams to ensure accurate reporting, drive process improvements, and support month-end and year-end closings.

The role requires strong Excel skills, an accounting/finance background, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Iowa Racing & Gaming License or ability to obtain.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance is desired.
• Strong knowledge of Excel.
• Must complete all company required training within designated time frames.
• Must be highly organized and possess the ability to multi-task.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional guest service to all customers.
• Assist in coordination of month end and year-end closings processes with/for all entities.
• Maintain general ledger, account reconciliations and workpapers.
• Assist in preparation monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial reports.
• Assist with processing accounts payables for various entities as needed.
• Process/Review daily reports.
• Review financials of all entities ensuring reporting consistency across all entities.
• Recommend design, assist implementation of, and monitor accounting and internal control systems to ensure transactions are properly recorded and assets are safeguarded.
• Review accounting processes to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
• Aid site finance teams to supplement staffing and ensure timely completion of work.
• Participate in ad-hoc projects as directed.
• Occasional travel to other Elite Casino Resort properties subject to business and professional development needs.
• Fulfill other duties as assigned.

The Staff Accountant is responsible for preparing, analyzing, and maintaining financial records for Elite Casino Resorts and its subsidiaries. They will work closely with the accounting staff at all properties to ensure consistent practices, audit for accuracy, and make improvements to financial procedures wherever possible. The Staff Accountant is responsible for a variety of accounting processes including but not limited to the following.
