Job summary

You will perform bank reconciliations, manage accounts receivable and invoicing, prepare monthly journal entries, and assist in audits, budgeting, and monthly close. The position offers growth within a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or similar field required.
• 2-3 years of experience in construction or professional services.
• Experience with project accounting and various contract types (T&M, fixed).
• Proficiency with NetSuite and Monday.com.
• Ability to meet deadlines and strong analytical and communication skills.
• GAAP knowledge and cost accounting standards understanding.

Responsibilities

• Perform bank reconciliations.
• Manage accounts receivable and invoicing.
• Prepare monthly journal entries, including sales, COGS, SG&A, intercompany transactions and eliminations.
• Assist in audits and budgeting processes.
• Participate in monthly close and generate monthly financials.

SI Solutions is seeking a detailed-oriented Staff Accountant to join our growing Finance team in Houston, Texas. In this newly created role, the Staff Accountant will partner closely with the Process Business Unit to support day-to-day accounting operations and ensure accurate financial reporting.

Primary Responsibilities

• Perform bank reconciliations
• Manage accounts receivable and invoicing
• Prepare monthly journal entries, including sales, COGS, other SG&A expenses, intercompany transactions, and intercompany eliminations
• Assist in company/subsidiary financial and tax audits
• Assist in company budgeting process and monthly cost variance
• Participate in monthly close and generation of monthly financials
• Provide support on month-end closing and ad-hoc projects as assigned
• Reconcile GL balance sheet accounts
• Assist in project review, percent complete, and revenue recognition to ensure compliance with GAAP
• Assist with State Annual Report filings
• Assist finance staff with day-to-day accounting operations and reporting

Pay Range

The expected salary range for this role in Texas is $63,500 - $76,800 annually. Exact pay will be commensurate with experience.
