LawTrio LLC in Gastonia, NC is seeking an experienced Staff Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting and support the monthly close.

Reporting to the Director of Accounting & Finance, you will own reconciliations, maintain the general ledger, process payroll, and ensure accurate records as the firm grows.

• Process accounts payable, maintain vendor records, code invoices to the correct account and entity, and prepare payments for approval.
• Complete monthly bank and credit card reconciliations with supporting documentation by established deadlines.
• Maintain the general ledger, prepare journal entries and maintain supporting schedules.
• Prepare and process payroll, validate inputs and obtain required approvals before release.

Target salary: $60,000-$65,000 annually

Target start date: November 16, 2026, subject to the selected candidate's notice period.

About the Role

LawTrio LLC is hiring an experienced Staff Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting for LawTrio. Reporting to the Director of Accounting & Finance, you will take ownership of recurring accounting work, complete reconciliations and support the monthly close as the organization grows.

We are looking for someone who can work independently after systems and process training, maintain accurate records and resolve discrepancies with sound judgment.
