Responsibilities

• Review financial statements.

• Assist with month, quarter, and year end closes.
• Process AP, AR, and payroll.
• Run financial reports.
• Prepare for audits and tax filings.
• Maintain compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
• Other related tasks as required.

Staff Accountant

LHH Recruitment Solutions is proactively recruiting Staff Accountants in the Denver Metro Area for upcoming job opportunities with our clients. These opportunities may be temporary, temp-to-hire, or direct hire. Typical compensation is between $65,000 and $80,000 annually or the hourly rate equivalents. If the role is temporary or temp-to-hire, you will be able to sign up for LHH’s benefits programs (details below).

Typical Responsibilities

• Reviewing financial statements
• Reconciling accounts and balance sheets
• Making journal entries
• Assisting with the month end, quarter end, and year end close processes
• Processing AP, AR, and payroll
• Running financial reports
• Preparing for internal and external audits
• Preparing and filing tax returns
• Maintaining compliance with all relevant federal, state, and local laws and regulations
• All other related tasks as required

Typical Qualifications

• At least two years of recent, relevant experience in a similar accounting role
• Previous experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, SAP, NetSuite, Great Plains, etc.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
• Excellent attention to detail
• Thorough knowledge of GAAP
• Excellent analytical skills
• Excellent organizational skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel: VLOOKUP, pivot tables, formulas, etc.

Typical Compensation

• Annual salary between $65,000 and $80,000 or the hourly rate equivalents
