Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and GL adjustments.
• Perform monthly account reconciliations and assist with month-end close activities.
• Prepare financial reports, analyze activity, and investigate variances for management decisions.
• Assist with accounts payable/receivable, including invoice review and payment processing.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning by tracking trends.
• Maintain accurate records and assist with audits and internal controls.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on ad hoc reporting and process improvements.

Responsibilities of the Staff Accountant:

• Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and general ledger adjustments.
• Perform monthly account reconciliations, including bank reconciliations, and assist with month-end and year-end close activities.
• Prepare financial reports, analyze account activity, and investigate variances to support management decision-making.
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including invoice review, payment processing, and monitoring outstanding balances.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning by tracking trends and comparing actual results to projections.
• Maintain accurate financial records while assisting with audit preparation and ensuring compliance with GAAP and internal controls.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to complete ad hoc reporting, improve accounting processes, and support day-to-day accounting operations.

Qualifications of the Staff Accountant:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience required.
• Strong understanding of GAAP, general ledger accounting, and month-end close processes.
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables, VLOOKUP, and other reporting functions.
• Experience with accounting software; Sage Intacct experience is a plus.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
