Job summary

CAROLINA PRG, a growing manufacturing company in Charlotte, is seeking a Corporate Accountant to join the accounting team. You will support day-to-day and month-end close, prepare financial statements, and provide timely, accurate reporting to leadership.

The role emphasizes attention to detail, collaboration with internal teams, and opportunities to improve processes. Ideal candidates have 2+ years of accounting experience, strong Excel skills, and knowledge of ERP systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2+ years of accounting experience preferred.
• Manufacturing industry experience is a plus.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting.
• Experience with month-end close, journal entries, and reconciliations.
• Proficient in Excel with PivotTables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP.
• Experience with ERP or accounting system.
• Strong attention to detail and organization.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform month-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliation.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, including P&L and Balance Sheet reporting.
• Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and various general ledger accounts.
• Review transactions and accounting records for accuracy and completeness.
• Assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash management activities as needed.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis processes.
• Analyze account balances and investigate and resolve discrepancies.
• Assist with intercompany accounting and related reconciliation.
• Prepare financial reports and provide accounting support to leadership and other internal departments.
• Assist with annual audits, tax documentation, and other external reporting requirements.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls, and efficiencies.
• Perform other accounting and finance responsibilities as needed.
