Job summary

Accountants One is partnering with a growing technology manufacturer to hire a Senior Accountant who will ensure accurate financial reporting, support month-end close, and strengthen internal controls for the U.S. business.

The position requires 4+ years of progressive accounting experience, strong GAAP knowledge, and hands-on ERP know-how, particularly Microsoft Business Central, along with advanced Excel skills.

Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of GAAP and full-cycle accounting.
  • Manufacturing, distribution, logistics, or technology industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform month-end close and support accurate reporting.
  • Maintain general ledger integrity and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and internal controls; support ERP enhancements.
  • Oversee accounts payable activities and assist with tax/compliance.

Accountants One is partnering with a growing technology manufacturer to identify a Senior Accountant who will become a key contributor to the accounting team. Position Summary

The Senior Accountant will play a critical role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, supporting the month-end close process, strengthening internal controls, and improving accounting processes. Working closely with the Head of Finance, this individual will help build scalable accounting practices while supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the U.S. business.

Key Responsibilities
Month-End Close & Financial Reporting
  • Perform and support a timely and accurate month-end close process
  • Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations
  • Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting
  • Ensure financial information is complete, accurate, and prepared in accordance with GAAP
General Ledger & Balance Sheet Integrity
  • Maintain the integrity of the general ledger
  • Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations
  • Research and resolve accounting discrepancies while maintaining audit-ready documentation
  • Assist with external audits and year-end reporting requirements
Process Improvement & Systems
  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and internal controls
  • Utilize Microsoft Business Central ERP and Excel to enhance reporting efficiency and reduce manual processes
  • Support ongoing system enhancements and reporting automation initiatives
Accounts Payable & Compliance Support
  • Provide oversight and support for accounts payable activities to ensure timely processing and compliance
  • Assist with sales tax, regulatory filings, and other accounting compliance requirements
  • Help ensure accounting policies and internal controls are consistently followed
Business Partnership
  • Collaborate with operations and other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting
  • Support special projects, financial analysis, and initiatives that improve operational efficiency
  • Serve as a trusted accounting resource across the organization
Qualifications
Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
  • 4+ years of progressive accounting experience
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and full-cycle accounting
  • Manufacturing, distribution, logistics, or technology industry experience is preferred
Technical Skills
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Hands-on ERP experience required
  • Microsoft Business Central experience is highly preferred
  • Experience with financial reporting, account reconciliations, and month-end close
