Murdoch's Ranch & Home Supply is seeking a Staff Accountant to ensure accurate, timely financial reporting and provide insights to inform business decisions at our Bozeman Home Office.

You will reconcile daily store sales and cash activity, assist with monthly statements, and collaborate across teams to uphold our commitment to service, accuracy, and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in accounting or finance required.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Proficient in Microsoft Dynamics and Excel; Power Automate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Reconcile daily store sales activity accurately and promptly.
• Reconcile daily and monthly cash activity.
• Support the preparation and distribution of monthly financial statements.
• Contribute to the year-end inventory process.
• Review and audit accounts receivable activity.
• Participate in the company-wide budgeting process.
• Prepare accurate, well-organized workpapers for the annual audit.
• Analyze balance sheet and P&L to identify trends and variances.
• Take on additional accounting responsibilities as assigned.

This position is located at the Home Office in Bozeman, MT. Must live within a 40-mile radius of the corporate office.

As a Murdoch's Team Member, you will

• Reconcile daily store sales activity accurately and promptly
• Reconcile daily and monthly cash activity
• Support the preparation and distribution of monthly financial statements
• Contribute to the year-end inventory process
• Review and audit accounts receivable activity
• Participate in the company-wide budgeting process
• Prepare accurate, well-organized workpapers for the annual company audit
• Analyze balance sheet and profit-and-loss accounts to identify trends and variances
• Take on additional accounting responsibilities and other duties as assigned

Requirements
