Job summary

OneAscent is seeking a detail-oriented accountant to support month-end close, reconciliations, AP/AR, and multi-entity financial processes across the firm.

In this role you will apply GAAP, maintain accurate schedules, and partner with operations to ensure clean intercompany allocations and audit readiness using NetSuite or QuickBooks.

The ideal candidate has a BA in accounting/finance and 2–4 years of progressive accounting experience.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field with 2–4 years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Knowledge of GAAP and the full accounting cycle.
  • Strong Excel and multi-entity experience.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Execute month-end close procedures including journal entries, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Process accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger transactions with accuracy and appropriate approvals.
  • Support standalone close cycles, partnership accounting, and intercompany allocations for the JV and related entities.

What It Takes to Win in This Role

Month-End Close & Reconciliations

  • Execute monthly close procedures including journal entries, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Prepare bank and intercompany reconciliations across multiple entities.
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial close deliverables.
  • Support audit readiness through clear documentation and supporting schedules.

AP/AR & General Ledger Transactions

  • Process accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger transactions with accuracy and appropriate approvals.
  • Maintain vendor records, resolve billing discrepancies, and support cash management activities.
  • Ensure transactions are properly coded and aligned with the entity allocation framework.
  • Partner with operations and HR on payroll-related entries and expense allocations.

Joint Venture & Partnership Accounting Support

  • Support standalone close cycles, partnership accounting, and intercompany allocations for the ARK joint venture and related entities.
  • Track variable compensation and allocate costs across business units consistent with management agreements.
  • Strengthen segregation of duties by owning recurring accounting workflows that previously sat with senior finance leadership.
  • Surface issues early and recommend process improvements as JV complexity evolves.
What You Bring to the Table
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 2-4 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally including month-end close and reconciliations.
  • Working knowledge of GAAP and the full accounting cycle.
  • Strong Excel skills and comfort working across multiple entities or business units.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage competing deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
  • CPA or active CPA candidate.
  • Experience in financial services, RIA, or partnership accounting environments.
  • Familiarity with intercompany allocations, joint venture accounting, or multi-entity consolidations.
  • Exposure to NetSuite, QuickBooks, or comparable ERP systems.
