• 2+ years of general ledger, corporate accounting, or public accounting experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA license or path to CPA preferred
• Working knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting, reconciliations, and internal controls
• Experience with ERP/financial systems; support for system enhancements or implementations preferred
• Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, formulas, data reconciliation)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with competing priorities
• Collaborative team player with proactive communication and integrity

Responsibilities

• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close with journal entries and reconciliations
• Review balance sheet accounts and document reconciling items
• Prepare recurring and ad hoc financial reports and investigate anomalies
• Provide accounting support for new business activities and system enhancements
• Assist with Microsoft D365 enhancements, testing, and data validation
• Maintain accounting procedures and internal controls; suggest improvements
• Assist audits by preparing documentation and responding to requests
• Conduct accounting research for assigned transactions

The Staff Accountant supports the financial close and helps ensure financial information is complete, accurate, and aligned with US GAAP. This broad-based role contributes to general ledger and operational accounting, reporting, controls, systems, and special projects. Working with Accounting, Finance, and cross-functional partners, you’ll help resolve accounting issues, improve recurring processes, support Microsoft D365 enhancements, and build experience across a growing organization.

In This Role

• Support the monthly, quarterly, and annual close by preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules for assigned areas
• Review assigned balance sheet accounts for accuracy, investigate reconciling items, and maintain appropriate documentation in BlackLine
• Prepare recurring and ad hoc financial reports, compare results to supporting detail, and assist with investigating unusual activity, trends, or follow-up items
• Work with Accounting, Finance, and operational teams to understand transactions, research discrepancies, and provide accounting support for new business activities
• Assist with Microsoft D365 and related system enhancements through testing, data validation, issue resolution, and process documentation
• Help maintain accounting procedures and internal controls and recommend practical improvements to recurring workflows
• Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation and responding to requests.
• Assist with accounting research and supporting analyses for assigned or non-routine transactions under the guidance of senior team members.

The Ideal Person

• 2+ years of general ledger, corporate accounting, or public accounting experience; experience in a multi-entity or high-growth environment is a plus
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA license or path to CPA preferred
• Working knowledge of US GAAP and foundational experience with financial reporting, account reconciliations, and internal controls
• Experience working with ERP and financial systems; experience supporting system enhancements or implementations is preferred
• Proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables, formulas, and data reconciliation techniques
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with competing priorities
• Collaborative team player with a positive attitude, excellent communication skills and a proactive mindset
