Staff Accountant### Staff AccountantApply: Anaheim WBU,California: Full time: Posted Yesterday: REQ56200**Position Purpose:**The primary function of the Staff Accountant is responsible for various reconciliations, preparation and review of journal entries, assist with monthly reporting, annual reporting, and audit functions for the department. **Key Responsibilities:*** Preparing financial documents and implementing procedures.* Assist with monthly and quarterly, financial and operational reviews of subsidiaries in accordance with GAAP and company guidelines.* Assists with the year-end close according to best practices and requirements as prescribed by the State Accounting Office.* Provides professional guidance and assistance in the solution of accounting and financial problems.* Assist with preparation of year end audit work papers for external auditors.* Preparing Fleet related reports and filings. **Direct Manager/Direct Reports:*** The Staff Accountant reports directly to the Controller.* This position does not have any direct reports. **Travel Requirements:*** This position does not require any travel as all duties are performed within the local office location(s). **Physical Requirements:*** Must be able to remain in a stationary position in an office environment 80% of the time. Will frequently move about inside the office to access files, office machinery, etc.* Must be able to operate basic office machinery.* Must be able to communicate with team and management and be able to exchange accurate information in these situations. **Working Conditions:*** Works primarily onsite during regular business hours, Monday through Friday, with occasional extended hours. Starting wage may vary based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, the position being offered, location, education, training, and/or experience.
