Job summary

St. Lucie County BOCC seeks a Stadium Manager to plan, organize and oversee all stadium operations, grounds and programming. You will manage MLB-standard field maintenance, turf care, and safety, while coordinating events and supervising staff.

The role requires leadership, budgeting, and contract negotiation skills, with strong collaboration across departments and with external partners for community programming and revenue initiatives.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; college degree preferred in Parks and Recreation, Business, Agronomy, Facility Management or related field.
• Minimum five years in parks, recreation, facility and turf management with supervisory experience.
• CPRP certification preferred; strong project management and budgeting skills.
• Proven ability to manage contracts, vendors and stakeholders effectively.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and collaborative work style.

Responsibilities

• Oversee care and maintenance of stadium fields and grounds to MLB standards.
• Identify turf pests and manage turfgrass maintenance, treatment, and irrigation systems.
• Plan, promote and coordinate events including sports, concerts and community activities.
• Hire, train, supervise and evaluate stadium staff and ensure safety protocols.
• Develop revenue plans with marketing, promotions and booking strategies.
• Coordinate and negotiate contracts for events, vendors and tenant agreements.
