Job summary

Legends Global, headquartered near Soldier Field, seeks an Assistant Groundskeeper to maintain and paint the field for Chicago Fire MLS matches and other events. The role also supports surrounding parkland areas and event-related terrain.

A bachelor’s degree in groundskeeping or related field plus 3–5 years of experience are preferred. Candidates should be able to obtain an Illinois Pesticide Applicator License within 90 days and demonstrate strong planning, communication, and supervisory

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Groundskeeping or related field.
• 3–5 years of groundskeeping experience required.
• Knowledge of field maintenance, equipment, and safe practices.
• Pesticide license or ability to obtain Illinois license within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and paint playing field grass and surrounding parkland areas.
• Operate mowers, tractors, snow blowers, sod cutters, and forklifts.
• Mow, edge, water, and fertilize the field; manage irrigation.
• Tarp field, install field goals, benches, and related structures.
• Supervise field labor during tarping and setup/teardown.
