Job summary

UFP Grandview, LLC is seeking a General Labor worker to safely handle lumber products and verify materials meet customer requirements and company expectations. You will move, stack, label, and prepare lumber for production, using basic math and small tools as needed.

Responsibilities include inventory accuracy, maintaining clean work areas, and supporting safety and continuous improvement programs. This role requires 18+ and a willingness to work in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• Manufacturing or lumber experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of basic math preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Move and secure lumber products and other materials per instructions.
• Stack finished products according to predetermined bundle sizes and/or customer requirements.
• Label material based on specifications: type, size, and count.
• Apply individual tags to material before/after treating/production.
• Use a staple gun and troubleshoot equipment.
• Band, bundle and secure material, including corner protectors and loading sticks.
• Follow instructions for stacking material properly and per company policy and customer requirements.
• Ensure correct quantities and material are strapped, and labeled before leaving the work area.
• Maintain inventory of tags and report discrepancies to supervisor.
• Record production on production sheets.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Assist with other areas by moving material and loading/unloading carts.
• Participate in safety, CI and other programs and meetings.

• Applies individual tags to material before/after treating/production
• Uses a staple gun and troubleshoots equipment
• Bands, bundles and secures material, including attaching corner protectors and loading sticks
• Follows instructions for stacking material properly and according to company policy and customer requirements
• Ensures correct quantities and material are strapped, and labeled before leaving the work area
• Maintains accurate inventory of tags and reports any problems or discrepancies to supervisor
• Records production on production sheets
• Maintains a clean and organized work area
• Assists with other work areas by moving material, loading and unloading material carts
• Participates in safety, CI and other programs and meetings
• Performs other duties as required
