Job summary

Pratt Industries in Rockwall, TX is seeking a Stacker for a full-time position. The role involves stacking sheets from the corrugator, with setup, operation, cleanup and process improvements. The 2nd shift runs 3:30pm–11:30pm; weekend work may be required. Pay is $20/hr.

Responsibilities include relaying messages, assisting the Corrugator crew, submitting maintenance orders, and ensuring the schedule meets cost, quality and service goals. Training and safety are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Able to read and follow instructions on factory masters.
• Able to read a tape measure with speed and accuracy.
• Able to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages, measurement, volume and rate.
• Able to apply concepts of high school math.

Responsibilities

• Relay messages promptly regarding necessary adjustments.
• Assist Corrugator crew as assigned by supervisor.
• Submit maintenance work orders for needed repairs; participate in equipment maintenance.
• Adhere to production schedule and assist in optimizing the schedule for cost, quality and service goals.
• Report scheduling issues to Supervisor.
• Learn to back up Slitter Operator and Doublebacker when necessary.
• Restack, flip stack, and handband units as necessary.
• Assist in training of dry end personnel.
• Comply with all company policies and maintain good housekeeping.
